"Hummingbird" starring Jason Statham - trailer

After his appearance in the atrocious "Expendables 2" and the fact that the one franchise that he could really call "his" (that would be "Transporter") was turned into a boring TV series it seemed that maybe Jason Statham's days as a movie lead were waning. But, wait! "Parker" starring JS and JLo actually turned out to be a pretty good movie (though to be sure it wasn't a box office juggernaut) and now he-who-never-laughs is set to have a go in Steven Knight's latest: "Hummingbird". Knight was the writer director behind the excellent "Eastern Promises" from a few years back and this movie seems right in keeping with that film's vision of a dark, gritty world underpinned by barely controlled mayhem.


"Hummingbird" will open in the UK on May 10th. No word yet on a US release date, though one is anticipated.
