"Jupiter Ascending" release date set
The release date for the Wachowski's newest film "Jupiter Ascending" - the follow up to the sincere but ponderous "Cloud Atlas" - has been set for July 25, 2014. This was originally when Warner Bros. had planned to release "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" but the slot became open when WB moved Peter Jackson's film to a more traditional (for Jackson) December release. Whether or not the summer slot will boost Jupiter into orbit remains to be seen. "Cloud Atlas" made back less than half its estimated production cost (plus marketing) and some are sure that the financial boondoggle was at least partly because of the film's October 26th release date.
