"Thor: The Dark World" official site up and running

Now that "Iron Man 3" is firmly ensconced above the billion dollar box office mark Marvel is moving on with the marketing for it's other high profile properties. Next in line is the one I'm personally the most excited about: "Thor: The Dark World". The movie, due in theaters in November, catches up with the god of thunder as he adjusts to the new realities imposed by events in "Thor" and "The Avengers" and now has an official website to boot. Here's part of the official blurb from the site.

Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

This month's issue of Empire magazine also has a slew of new photos from the production. Here are a few.
