William Fichtner joins cast of "Lone Ranger"

Disney's attempt to get an adaptation of "The Lone Ranger" off the ground has had a troubled history but somehow still manages to move haltingly forward. According to Deadline the erstwhile production has now made a fairly major casting switch with William Fichtner joining the cast in place of a departed Dwight Yoakim. Yoakim reportedly had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts and Fichtner joins a cast that includes Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Helena Bohnam Carter and Tom Wilkinson.

The film is slated for a late 2013 release.
