Legendary Pictures has scrapped it's planned "Paradise Lost" blockbuster after efforts to get the film's budget down to $120 million were apparently unsuccessful. Bradley Cooper was to star as Lucifer but is now free to pursue other projects. Alex Pryos (Dark City) was to direct. "Paradise Lost" joins a growing list of big budget productions that have failed to get off the ground lately including "The Lone Ranger" (which as to star Johnny Depp) and "The Dark Tower" (which Ron Howard was slated to direct).
