Watching this trailer from Chris Sullivan's animated film I was reminded of the work of Joseph Cornell. Different medium sure but lots of similarities: from it's hodge-podge pieced-together-from-whatever-is-available feel to the American Gothic-style nature of the narrative to the obsessive dedication it must have taken to put it together .
